You have a really beautiful room, and I think you have many options. I definitely agree though that it could use a more transitional light. Just or starters what do you think of this one? ( it is from overstock).

Here's something linear and much less ornate. I have a smaller fixture from the same collection (Murray Feiss Thayer collection) in my entry in a darker finish. I am still tempted to use this fixture on our dining room.

is your house. For me, I would want something in between the two in terms of simplicity and ornate but again honestly I think they are both really attractive fixtures and could work in your space.
