Possible, not likely. They don’t like us or something like that. They got too big too fast.

Do not know, cannot not figure out this one. Got to move on.

    Bob, hello!!

At least I didn't disappear yet(( Sad that we have lost so many but I am thinking they are just caught up with this whole Carona thing and many problems to deal with that take away or distract from the fun and joy of coming here?

I always hope it's not because of some bimbo or a certain time or thread that got a little heated and scared some off. It's not worth leaving when it's just natural and given the fact that there are far more kind and worthwhile people to be with here than the few that are not. I hope that everyone here can focus on all the good over the bad that triumpths here and continues to hang with the best people I have gotten to know.

I think many will be back once they are bored or colder weather moves in, watch my friend. I am glad you are)

I will try to e-mail Amy and others to see what's up.

New requirement for continued membership on the citrus forum: At least once a week you have to pose a smiley face, just to let us know, you are well and that you are still on this forum.

NOTHING MORE! I know I am going to get some flack. Only if you know if you are going to be gone for a while, like medical, moving to a warmer zone, Steve going in outer space., don’t know about Mike, bar tending in some Florida golf outing. Brian is a yacht man, maybe those two are already there. Jan might fly out to meet those two, so she can bring back some more tropical trees.

Lol! I was just thinking the same thing where is everyone I think it’s been a terrible year though everyone’s going through so much stuff personal and career wise I think and citrus just got pushed to the back maybe some neglected their trees and have lost interest in them? very sad and I miss everyone! But so glad everyone else is here bob mike Steve silica just heard from Laura not long ago too. Lol Steve! Well here’s my smiley face :)

I've been waiting for Laura to post some citrus baked goods...

Jan, you are still here, and that is important to me. So are the few in which I don't have to mention their names and those you mentioned.

We still have a few originals too going way back 'Silica', have still yet to know her real name, has been around for years and years, as log as I have or more. A huge help, good person. and others.

I really do miss a few that use to come here and still worry about a few others. That just goes to show you that not everyone here is just another number behind a key board, but a real cyber friend and wish we could get together and meet in person one too. I must say that a few here I talk to on the phone and have even met for breakfast, and added bonus.

Don't forget those that sent us specials plants in the mail and even food. Glad we are still here and I hope the others come back soon.

    O)

I am in and out here based on a number of factors.

not The least of which is the terrible format of h.ouzz, which makes it a real battle for me.

i’m telling you, we should migrate somewhere else...

I go along with you, Hibiscus. Mike is a senior here, Silica another. Laura has a website that she created some time ago. We were talking about some time ago. I think it will attract a bunch of senior guys( old timers). Don’t know about the Canadians, I am not wondering about nobody anymore.

If you are a true citrus grower having a collection of high quality citrus desire than you could move to the citrusgrowersv2.proboard.com/. Laaz is the moderator, super knowledgeable.

We can alll move over, only if you really interested in the finest and growing the ultimate tree’s.

Steve, I am a member from day one, my username there is ,marro, this is an old forum username I use since the eighties. If we move, that forum will show more activity.

I am looking forward seeing more members here. This is a dedicated group. You can learn a lot from them, true knowledge on citrus.

Bob, your link takes be to an inquiry page, not a message board.

Bob, I am also a member of Laaz's forum. I'm a member of all three forums. Actually I looked, you were indeed an early member, but not on day one.

Silica, I am a member of the tropical fruit forum, millet than started the citrus forum with them , than Laaz started with his forum. My username with the tropical fruit forum is different. Anyway, I am interested in sub tropical fruit trees, but starting to loose interest.

Citrus is all I am interested now with Millet and Laaz.

Hey Heard we’re all moving lol I’m coming with! I’m not sure where everybody is here anymore! Mike come with! Lol amy brian hope you guys are alright :)

The only forums that I will NEVER EVER EVER visit are the ones on face book.

    last modified: 5 years ago

Silica I don;t like face book but the forum people are fine in my opinion. Why don't you like FB citrus forums.

    Steve

I have the citrus group on face book and never hang out there. In fact I’m barely ever in face book. Who has the time ?
I will always love this forum. Maybe all this talk about different forums and try others are a huge reason why many are gone. Think about that.
I’m tired of people knocking this one down and the negativity about it. No wonder many leave.
This one is fine with me and do are a few still here. That’s all I’ve time for

Mike I’ll go back and forth between this one and the one on the other citrus forum! I just checked it out and honestly there are so many knowledgeable growers over there! Like for instance there are tons of lemons varieties that ive never heard of! I’m all for learning and maybe we can share that knowledge with this forum as well :) and I hear you about Facebook lol I don’t even have a Facebook page myself! Too techy for

    me!

Silica, I go with a forum with the most serious friends. Seriously I don’t have many here. I am struggling the most here. This forum is more like a jumping board to other forums.

I am cruising along just fine, the mystery for growing whatever is over, long time ago.

Bob I find less activity with discussions on the other forums and more here.

This forum is good but has shrunken. I also go to the citrusgrowers forum where, I don't contribute much, but have, where I like to read up on some very sophisticated stuff especially by the Europeans cold hardy breeding wise. The problem with them is newbies aren't often helped and its set up to be intimidating (my opinion). They don't get a lot of posts. I dabble on one citrus facebook forum. The tropical fruit forum is a good read. I have a hobbyist interest in Citrus (among other things), nothing more. I'm really not looking to chat but I'm a loner anyway.

The problem with citrus forums is citrus is divided 4ways, Face book, Houzz, Tropical fruit growers, Citrus growers and a couple smaller ones.

Citrus is just citrus, the others are much more diverse. Houzz has a bunch of other forums so members can jump around within Houzz.

When I started with Gardenweb (persimmonBob), than continue with Houzz, it Was going very well, than jump to citrus (bob).

The funny thing with Houzz citrus, it seems that everybody dislike one an other. The only forum that I had to use choice words. It’s get a lot cleaner now. I have friends on the forum I participated. I don’t lurk. One day there might be “one“forum totally dedicated to citrus

It takes time to built a good forum.

The worst thing about houzz is the antiquated software it uses. This is the only place I post much on, but I lurk on the other boards. I want nothing to do with facebook.

No one forum will ever dominate. Facebook while inane, (here's a pic of a single leaf - tell me what's wrong with tree postings) is ultra easy to upload and post to. This forum bites in that regard.

It would be nice if a bunch members from here to join the Tropical fruit growers forum/ citrus, Instead Facebook. We all are trying to do better.
