Recommendations for Extra Wide Plumbers Wrench?

I bought this extra-wide wrench on Amazon, and unfortunately, it is still about 1/2 inch short of the lock nut I need to fit around. I am trying to install an aquarium bulkhead adapter onto a garbage can.
Can someone recommend a tool like a plumber's wrench that is able to work with a 2.5-inch lock nut similar to the one shown in the photo below?

I would use Channel Lock Adjustable wrench.

It appears to be plastic or vinyl, therefor the seal does not require muscle to get a good seal. I have successfully used a pair of adjustable pliers to tighten this size of nut.

Agree with kernuttle, particularly about not using much muscle as you could end up breaking it or messing up the threads.

I agree that it looks like a plastic nut, so don't get carried away. However, one of these wrenches should work if you feel you need one.

I'd Dremel a notch in the nut in opposite places just large enough to provide a flat screwdriver purchase. Tap it snug.

I like to use a Ford Wrench for plastic, brass and chrome fittings that I don't want to damage with teeth marks. Ford wrenches have smooth jaws and my larger one opens to 3", with a 1-3/8" throat. They are also sold by Crescent by the name Automotive Sliding Wrench. (edited to add link)

FWIW, the Ford Wrench was named that because they came with the early model Ford cars, trucks and tractors. I found mine in a garage sale.
