I would go with grey, greyish brown OR white shades. White if you want some contrast, grey/or greyish brown to be matchy. lol Was going to suggest curtains but shades are very low maintenance for sure!. ;)

If you want minimalist go with blinds and in white to match your window trim. When they are open you won't see them. Blinds are also a good base to start with. If you decide later that you would like to add more style to your room, you can add side panels. But to start, get blinds. There are several types of blinds and your budget will decide which to choose. Buy what you can afford.
