Saving / propagating jewelweed

last modified: 5 years ago

These are some type of jewelweed. They rode along with this hosta I got from a friend. I let them grow since I was interested in having more (though would prefer them in a different bed). My parents lived on a lake and had them growing wild along the shore at certain times of year. I have a damper area along a drainage swale where I'd try to out them.
I have yet to see any seedpods. I could try to pull out the plant and transplant it, but considering its growing right in the middle of a hosta, it will likely break.
What would you do if you wanted this to grow elsewhere? Thanks.
