Large Japanese maple for full sun

USDA Zone 8b; Willamette Valley, OR

The previous owner of my new house planted 3 golden full moon maples in hot sun and, unsurprisingly, they scorched badly this summer despite watering. I plan to attempt to move them this winter to the conifer garden where they will have much-needed shade.

In the original locations, I would like to plant large growing (20+ feet) green Japanese maples that can take the full sun conditions without scorching. Irrigation is in place. I am wondering if the species (Acer palmatum) would fit the bill or if there are any other cultivars that I should be looking at. Many thanks in advance!
