I’ve had 2 of those machines and by far the best engine is the Kawasaki.

Hopefully it’s something easy. Seems so coincidental that I put the premium gas in and the i starts messing up. maybe a clog of some sort.

It’s always been recommended to me, by the service people I take my equipment to, that I use premium fuel (plus fuel stabilizer) so I would be surprised if it were the gas (unless it was old, bad gas)

Ditto, although I always use cheap gas because forget premium. :-) I don't put it in my car, I'm not putting it in my lawn mower.

Briggs engines aren't what they used to be.

Just an update. It was the carb and they replaced along with some gaskets. Actually runs better now then when it was brand new. Anyway I still have this premium gas. So is it alright to use it in a lawnmower? I'm just nervous now after what had happened to me last time. I know it was a coincidence but still has me sketched out.

Higher octane gas is fine, yes! And that's the only difference between premium and regular anyway. Use it--or, if you'd rather, just pour it into your car and replace it with regular.
