Nice, but where is the simple molding?

It is a pretty mud room, but frankly, I would not enjoy looking at the soles of my family's boots when walking inside the house.

Nhb, it looks like a wall of paneling, but they added a piece of trim at the 2/3 height or so, and painted the paneling above and below different colors.

Interesting idea. It lets you have the light color above for, well, light, but the dark below masks the scuffs and mars from wet or muddy boots, jackets, etc.

I‘ll bet theres a good boot scraper outside the door!

Clever. you could hang wet hats and mittens there, too.

With all those rainboots, I would expect to see a place to put umbrellas. I do use umbrellas, but I've never had boots like those.

I know that in Oregon (especially Portland) you are supposed to wear a raincoat instead of carrying an umbrella, but I did buy a nice umbrella there that is black, gray, and white leopard print. I carried it when I was in Portland, and I didn't care if that made me look like a tourist because I didn't want anyone to think I actually lived in Portland.

I have an emergency rain poncho that I keep in Kevin's truck, but I've only used it twice. I also keep a collapsible umbrella there, which I use more often as a parasol, to protect me from the sun.
