Deck design ideas

Hi guys. We're building a new house with large south facing windows so we can maximise on winter sun here in Alberta, Canada. By extension that means we will also have a south facing deck. Attached is our preliminary design which I'm sometimes happy with and sometimes very doubtful over. We still have lots of planning time for the deck/yard - the only thing we need to be clear on is the placements of the garden doors.

We're a family of five and we also like entertaining outside. We like the idea of a hot tub that can also double as a swimming pool (albeit small) in the summer so we're looking at a swim spa. We want it to be easily accessible in winter time.

We also have several basement windows that we don't want to block off with a wrap around deck.

This is what we came up with so far, combining a ground level patio with two raised decks. The covered deck on the right (east) connects to the kitchen/dinette, and the uncovered deck with hot tub in the west connects to the hearth room. For scale it's 71 feet from the most western point on the hot tub deck to the most eastern point of the main deck with the grill on it.

Does anyone spot some obvious ways to improve this design? Apparent flaws? Note there are egress windows under the covered deck from the guest bedroom downstairs.

On the next one the covered deck has it's roof hidden:
