I like it. Not for my own house, but in certain settings, it's a "yes".

I don’t have the complexion to go with that house, lol.

I'm generally not a fan of that much gray in a house, but that is gorgeous. I love the wallpaper! And those little touches of copper? brass? on the sconces...wonderful.

I get the feeling we’re in for a bad storm.

Dreary. Hide the knives and sharp implements.

It has a certain elegance. The rest of the house (old Victorian) is very, very bright, so this is a nice bit of variety.

I love it. I like drama and I find darker hallways leading to bright rooms architecturally poetic.

Nope. I'm normally fairly upbeat, but gray depresses me terribly. That hall would make me suicidal. I might be able to deal with the wallpaper if all of the wood trim was white.

The wallpaper and architectural detail is amazing, but I couldn't live with that level of desaturation.

So interesting; maybe because I'm a NW baby but that wallpaper just brings this deep calm to me. I can almost feel my heart rate slow down.

Yes - reminds me of a stormy sky too!

IMPE, too much gray gets old pretty fast, and monochrome like that I think would be even faster.

I would want the flooring in the foyer to continue in the hallway - the one thing I do not like is the wood floor.

I love gray and find it cheerful. I get depressed looking at brown, as it reminds me of decay and rot. Everyone has different reactions to colors, as I learned from the Lüscher Color Preference Test. According to that test, I am hopelessly eccentric, as I did not put a single color in what is supposed to be a normal (or common) place.

We very seldom have gray skies, and so I appreciate them when we do have them.

I don't know why, exactly, but it made me think of Miss Havisham.

It makes me think of those twins standing in the hall in The Shining.

    I think it is stunning.

    Not my cup of tea.

Would love a look at the rest of the house - how this fits with it. But I'm pretty much a fan...very dramatic!

The ceilings look like they are at least ten fee high, which I really like, especially with the decorative keystone detail in the arch. The crown molding is also very special and draws the eye up, which for me has an exhilarating effect. I guess that is partly why I do not find it dreary. I might have a different opinion of it at night, however, although I think I would still love it.

I used a gray tone on texture wallpaper in my mother's bathroom, and so I can really relate to this.

I like it for a hallway. It's dramatic and impactful for a space you don't spend a lot of time hanging out in.

What a stunning entryway. I love the architectural details. I even like all the gray here.
