There shouldn't be any substantial further settling with a proper foundation repair.

I agree if the issue was repaired properly then no more settling but if settling will be an ongoing issue then I would not do a pocket door maybe just look at a barn door instead . You do not mention where this is being used so only guessing. IMO framing is affected by major settling maybe tell us a bit more about what the issues were before.

Thanks! Kat, I checked with my foundation repair person. He says a pocket door is less likely to cause issues than a normal door. I guess that makes sense because it's attached to more substantial hardware than a hung swing door. I do understand it's important to use high-quality hardware and a solid door, but I believe that's true whether or not there have been foundation repairs. I think I'll do it!
