Carrie's flowers are always beautiful. I used to grow plumerias and my white one was my favorite.

Which Brugmansia is this? I love the single nodding ones. Reminds me of my favorite two, Jinny Lind and Xena.

Always enjoy seeing what's blooming in Carrie's yard.

After I grumbled in a post about not being able to get any wood ferns from a variety of nurseries to survive in the prairie clay at the base of our red oak, she offered some that were "sure to work". Of course, she was right... imagine there are probably scions of those under the Brugmansia shared across north Texas.

Thanks to Ragna for posting this and to all those who responded. I do still love gardening and spend as much time as possible outside. So glad to see the "pass alongs" doing so well. Sharing is what gardening is all about.

I just saw this!! Breathtaking! Mimi stays pretty busy with the sweet granddaughter. But I love the brugs and such lovely gardens. My own garden has suffered and I'm currently digging tons of roses up and putting in extra large pots to spare them the weeds and Bermuda grass. I want to still arrange in a lovely garden manner but its a struggle and "pretty" large pots are expensive!!

Just wanted to mention that I am having the brugs and bush morning glory cut back this Saturday. If anyone in the DFW area would like to come by and pick up cuttings, you are welcome to do so.

I'm glad to see the Angel Trumpet in a pot because that's exactly what I'm doing. I have a new puppy and I have to be really careful where I put it because it's toxic. Mine was homegrown by a friend for me and it's that beautiful pink!

Edit, If Carrie reads this, the Angel Trumpet in the pot, how much water do you give it. Do you keep evenly moist all the time or do you let it get dry in between waterings?

Hi, memetexas, brugs are always thirsty. The ones in containers are watered each and every day, and once, long ago, I fertilized twice a week. Now, just happy to be able to put the fertilizer on top and water it in each day when they get watered. I hope yours blooms well for you.

Thanks Carrie for those tips. I did bring mine inside through the freeze so it's still alive and about 4-5 feet tall. I have the black landscaping pot inside another larger pot with no holes and about 1/2 inch well at the bottom. It's not sitting in standing water but it holds some around the edge. I had one bloom in October, about a month after my friend gave it to me. Now I know to water every day...
