There’s a fire pit that is natural gas. The landscaper prepped a 1/2 inch home flex line so he could continue to move on the project. The line is only a few feet. His plan was to have a plumber connect another line from that one to the outside meeter. The outside meeter has a 1 inch opening.

I had one plumber tell me that it should’ve been 1 in pipe from meeter all the way to the fire pit and then fittings at fire pit to 1/2 in.

Another person told me it’s fine the way it is, but would need to have fittings underground.
