Have been using Method cleaner for years, it works great.

A microfiber cloth, with a bit of Dawn is all any kitchen surface needs. Wipe dry for best results.

-M Miller. Thank you for replying. You do make some valid points, albeit with a slight air of condescension. While I do know that soap and water will work, my question was specifically about sanitizing cleaners. As some are approved for use on quartz, and some can cause issues, I want to know what sanitizing cleaners others have used that have not caused any issues. I assumed soap and water was fine already.

Vinegar and water for most things, an antibacterial cleaner (like Lysol kitchen spray) when I really need to be sure about germs (eg raw meat drippings), and Bartender's Friend if I need to spot-clean a stubborn stain (like turmeric).

No, it's not.

Soap and water is great for cleaning, but not for disinfecting. Use soap and water to clean hard surfaces, but to disinfect them, you need something more. We don't disinfect our hands, we clean them with soap and water - even before surgeries, surgeons don't disinfect their hands!

Following your recommendation of dish soap and water, get it sudsy, then wipe and dry? That might clean them (and that's a good start before disinfecting), but there will still be microbes that can survive that. To disinfect you need either diluted bleach, or one of the chemical disinfectants sold commercially in stores.
