free hostas!!..yes you have hosta seedlings..I have them too..I'm going to move them someday..

except for a very few hosta.. they do not come true from seed .. so we will never have a name for these ... as its obvious they arent even all the same ...

you can move them around if you wish .. but depending where you are.. spring might be better ... if winter ground heave is an issue ...

Hosta take time to grow from seed. They will not be the same hosta as you have now, as Ken said. You can move them next year to a location with better soil and some sunlight. They may grow faster then. Divisions taken from mature hosta will mature much quicker than hosta from seed.

Sometimes they can surprise you.

But often they are "just plain" gorgeous. - Jon
