Entryway bench, console table, or both?

last modified: 6 years ago

I cannot decide whether to have:

a bench and side table
a console and armchair
a bench opposite from a console

The entry is 77inch wide, 66 inch long on the short wall and 88 inch long on the longer wall. The door is a standard door. If I do a bench, I would like to get a black spindle bench. I like the idea of a console with storage underneath for baskets and a mirror above it. I am also planning to put a runner in the entry.

Any input would be greatly appreciated 🙏🏻 thank you!

I don't think you have the space for any of your 3 scenarios. Art on the short wall that you can see from the couch and a console with baskets on the longer wall. Black spindle does not go with what is in the LR

I agree with JCK910's suggestions and believe a runner will be too long for your entry and will be a tripping hazard for the traffic path in and out of the hallway. You might replace your rustic cedar coffee table at the same time you get a console, and match their styles, since they will be so close together visually.
