Box blight wouldn’t affect these shrubs. They’re Euonymus.

Can’t see for sure but is there scale on those branches in the first pic?

Pic ftom another, less affected bush. This one looks like it's recovering 1st bush looks much worse. Will get new pics tomorrow.

Not whitefly - that IS euonymus scale. It is a frequent issue with many types of evergreen euonymus, is difficult to control and many homeowner just opt to remove and destroy affected shrubs and replace with something else.

scale on euonymus is as ubiquitous as blight on boxwood ... [two words that if i knew how to spell them.. i would use in the same sentence ... lol]

and why i eventually got rid of the Es i had ...

again ... same cost/benefit ratio ... its not worth my time and money to fight this type of problem.. on a plant that can be had for 5 bucks or so at bigboxstore ..... at least last time i shopped one of those places ...

again.. just get rid of them.. and plant anything else ... but not box.. lol ....

Here's pics from today. I will be removing this shrub, but the one other that I have (away from this one) seems to be coming back to health. Can this infect other species of shrub?

Did you read the fact sheet? Yes, it can affect other shrubs and plants, including privet, English ivy, hibiscus, holly, honeysuckle, lilac, and pachysandra.
