I have a floor to ceiling white brick, wood burning fireplace and wanting to add white marble chevron tile on top of brick (around the fireplace) and a then white mantel (see photo for example, basically adding the tile and surrounding mantel on top of the brick).
We love to have fires and use it often in the winter.
Questions:

1. Is grout (for the tile) heat resistant?
2. Would white tile marble be hard to keep clean around a wood burning fireplace?
3. Can marble/grout go on top of brick?
