Hi all - I’m in the process planning to redo our laundry room/mudroom. We are working with designers, but I like to also have my own ideas and you all have great perspective! I take forever to make decisions too - have worked with them on other projects so having others to debate with and not drive my husband crazy is helpful lol

I’m wondering about flooring and what direction to go. A few things:

• we are in Ontario Canada. So get ALL weather
• the laundry/mudroom is multi purpose with an door from the garage and also into the backyard where we have a pool
• it’s the main entrance our family uses in and out of the house.
• there is also a washroom (one of two on our main floor) this is used in the summer by guests swimming and gets plenty of kids running in and out wet. Floor will carry into the washroom as well.

What type of flooring should I be considering? Or avoiding?

I don’t know anything about floors. I have two samples of porcelain tile. One is the Spanish tile style. I see tons of these the beautiful Spanish tile in laundry rooms, but is it appropriate for a mudroom too?
