How are you watering them? I don’t see any water in the cup and there should be. Did they flower?

Tj, it was dry and I added the water after I took the pic. The second plant still had water. I don’t think it’s mature enough to bloom. The parent plant was almost the size of a large Aechmea when it bloomed, then later died. When I got the dead plant it had two small pups. Original plant had a beautiful bloom, more colorful than the faceatta, with blue and purple In addition to pink.

I’ve put them both back outside. This lightening goes totally thru the leaf, leaving it with very little substance in those lighter areas.

Do brooms have a specific season when they bloom? I grow orchids and many of them will bloom in the Fall, cooler, shorter day season, other species bloom in Spring after a winter rest of sorts.

My fasciatas tend to bloom in July and also contain blue and purple. Some pix and tips here...

I also only water the soil once a month or so but keep water in the cups always.
