October Bloomers

I have a few October bloomers, despite the recent cool temps.

Royal Jester with a mum

Rainbow Maker on its later, fourth scape

Memphis finally had two blooms properly open today. The bees thought they were marvelous.

Ice Cream Emperor has been trying to open for the past few days, and this morning it succeeded!

Pink seedling rebloom - Natalie Antoinette X Symphony of Praise has never rebloomed in the past. The place I transplanted it last fall seems to be more conducive for rebloom.

So nice to see some color! Ice Cream Emperor looks great, I love Rainbow Maker too.

Love the perennial mums! The purple one has such great color and form. Mine look terrible this year. I think the no rain timespan got them. Yours look great. Memphis still looks so pretty.

Memphis is drop dead perfectly gorgeous! If I were a bee that is where I would take up residence! Ice Cream Emperor is a pretty one too. I think I need a few more 'ruffly' ones in

my garden. I tend to shy away from them because they don't always open well here....but

they are so lovely. Everything looks so green in your garden and I am envious. Looks like

you might have gotten the rains that never came up here....lol.

Celeste - August and most of September were very dry here. But then we got the tail end of some hurricane rain the last week in September, and Hurricane Delta rain over the weekend. Also several of my rebloomers are planted right by the hose faucet, so I kept watering them during the dry months.

It's nice to see someone has daylilies blooming and such lovely ones too. We had a couple of scapes still blooming, but then the frost came and cut them down. It's a little early here for a killing frost.

Kay - The reblooms have been crazy this year with so many so late. A selected red seedling I moved out of the seedling bed about two weeks ago put up a scape overnight. Whether it will get to bloom or not, I don't know. The Tribble with Blue and Kiss of Paradise will start reblooming in a few days, and Bite of the Apple has yet another rebloom scape. They just don't want to stop blooming this year.

Julia - Memphis has been a standout both during the regular season and this fall. I'm so glad it likes the place where I moved it!
