The assistance that you describe that you need is provided by your Kitchen Designer. Plus a lot more help for things that you are unaware that you will need to decide, or know about. The independent designer who designed our new showroom does remote design if you cannot find someone locally.

I'd start with the cabinets near the stove with the items you need to access there. A place for spatulas, hot pads, spices, oil, etc. and your pots and pans. Then I'd go out from there. A lot of people are going to almost all drawers, so imagine yourself in the space preparing a meal and try to figure out where you want each group of items.

It's always best to build you kitchen from one corner out. Think about what you like and don't like about your current kitchen! More storage space = the better!
