Im not particularly fond of the Sputnik look. But it does fill that large, open space. For some reason, I'm drawn to a 3 tiered barrel look. Smaller barrel on the bottom, larger middle barrel, with smaller barrel on top. I'll keep looking for that.

The upside down metal cones was my first favorite. I keep coming back to that. For me, it shouts 'Scandinavian'.

While I love the round teak as well, it may be too much teak. I would select the first option.

i also like the 3 barrel look you described and well as the upside down cones.

the cones i like b/c: the design, you have direct light on your table not 'sprayed' everywhere and easy to clean!! i like the brass as well, so not everything is wood :)

I think you need to pick all your lighting fixtures in the kitchen/DR/LR area at the same time.

Didn’t think I’d go for something like this. But I have to consider the space in addition to the look. This fulfills both. Do you think our look fits better with brushed brass or gold or bronze?

Need to know the dimensions of the table and the dimensions of the room to know what size chandelier to get.

Also need to coordinate (although not necessarily match) with the lighting in adjacent visible rooms.

I am not crazy about sputnik fixtures or ones that look like arachnids, or cotton balls, or intersecting brass Q-tips.

It's frustrating to be "in the dark", but you do want your light fixture to go with all the rest of your furniture and have the appropriate scale, etc.

Have you thought about waiting until you get the rest of your furniture in situ and then purchasing the chandelier and in the meanwhile purchasing a few inexpensive floor lamps and placing them around the house?

Sputnik really doesn't work with Scandinavian. Do some research at Pinterest on Scandinavian design and the types of fixtures will start to pop up. It will guide your choices.

If you are really looking for a mid-century-Scandinavian-look chandelier (which are not the choices you show, so maybe you aren’t), the quintessential one is the Artichoke Chandelier designed by Paul Henningsen for Louis Poulsen, sometimes called the “Poulsen Artichoke Chandelier”. The real ones are $20k+. But there are imitation ones that look pretty good online for $500-1000. They replicas come in a coppery color, or silver, or white, and a few different diameters.

I like the teak one, but I think it's too small for the space. I also like the one with the three lights in upside down cones. The others are too busy for what you described. the one with 8:52 in the picture kind of looks a little "modern farmhouse" to me.

I think the copper one is my favorite. They do sell replicas in the $500-1000 range, a smaller size than the real ones. Idk how the replicas look in real life. But you could hang two of the smaller $500 ones, and that would be cool. For fun, here are pics of the real copper ones.

Looking at Carl Thore vintage ones too. But I question if they’d be large enough for the space. A small, simple statement may be all that’s needed however.
