Would love some guidance!

Our new kitchen is white shaker cabinets with mostly white quartz countertops (some darker veining) and black cabinetry handles. Stainless Steel appliances. The island will be painted BM Van Deusen blue (same countertop). Above the island are 3 pendant lights. My questions:

1) Stick to same black cabinetry handles on the island? Or can I go with gold/brass? (I do love that look. But worry it's too much mixing).

2) The pendant lights above the island (see photo below) - should they be black to match hardware on white cabinets? Or can I go gold? (I really love the gold!! I am just worried it will be too much mixing.)
