I can’t see all of the hand-drawn picture. Will you reattach?

Thats a huge refrigerator/freezer. Do you need one that large? What's on the other side of the wall with the fridge? Can you steal some space from that room and recess your fridge? . I's also move my range to the right (away from the fridge) a little bit. That corner looks cramped.

It is very big but I love it and don’t want to buy a new one either. Unfortunately we can’t move the wall back even though there is space behind it, it’s a supporting wall. My thought was to move the fridge to where the pantry is now shown in the picture of a proposed layout, and that gives access to the corner beside the fridge That is very hard to get to now.

If you have the space to recess the fridge, you don't have to move the weight-bearing wall back; you just add a new header, as you would for a 64" wide door way or French door. (Red lines) The new fridge surround, which won't be weight-bearing, can be framed in smaller studs--2x3, or 2x2--to save space.
