Is my mirror too big

I need help to see if my mirror above the console is too big. The console is 62” wide in length and the mirror is 45”. There is 5” at the bottom of the mirror and 1 foot above the mirror to the ceiling. I have not had anything in this space for awhile but I like it but would like your opinion. One designer I’ve worked with did a calculation and said that he mirror has to be at 50-75% of the length of the console which comes up 46.5. I had a 39” mirror placed on the wall before this and it looked so small on the wall. My wall extends all the way to the left which you cannot see. The next size up for the mirror was a 42” but it was out of stock, then the 45”. I got the 45".

love the mirror and the size. its perfect. I would say that the small accessories on the console are too small for the space. i would try a tall vase of stems on one end and a tall lamp on the other end or even two tall lamps. a couple pics to show the idea...

Looks a little large without taller pieces in the corners of your table. Can you add taller lamps etc in stead? I like the mirror, it just needs something bigger around it...and a camera always changes things a little. I always go rather big than too small ;)

I would like to add more decor on the console with tall flowers, vases or lamps to add some pop and color. Right now it is very bear.

The mirror is pretty, and to my untrained eye it seems okay with the console. But both pieces seem a little close to the door, which is messing with the scale just a bit. Any extra space to move them over to the left a few inches?

Yes, there is about 9 feet of space to move to the left but i would have to move the mirror on the wall?

I can move the console over and see how it is..

Your mirror looks really nice - size is great. Your pieces on the console table are too small. Place something tall at left side / opposite door & group the 2 floral & 1 scent stick thing together at other end until you find something else To place there. Try not to worry about being too symmetrical.

The mirror looks slightly off center to me in your photo. Is it dead center on the table? I think it is too big, and doesn’t work with the style of the table but looks like I’m the minority on that one here. :)

yes, the mirror is centered but it could look that way in the picture b/c i took it off to the side so i would not be directly in front of the photo.

I think the mirror looks nice over the console. You could put some larger decor that would go in front of the mirror a little or even just move the lovely yellow flowers in. Right now they are too close to the edge.

The accessories on the console should be larger and more in scale with the mirror.

We might add two taller pieces on either end of the console to help with balancing everything out.
