What a perfect woodland garden! Lovely! The autumn colors are so bright!

undertheoaksgardener..thank you..I do like our neighborhood in the fall..why do spring, summer and fall seem so short but winter is so long?..😂

It is lovely in any season but I think we are given this burst of colour to help get us through winter lol! Your JM are beautiful as are your Hydrangea and the baby shows how much they like your yard.

I do not believe that the tiny plant is Poison ivy. Is that an English or Boston Ivy climbing the tree? Perhaps it is a seedling of whatever the climber is.

peren..thank you 🙂..that's a non blooming climbing hydrangea on the tree..I planted one at the base of another tree that was dead..it was a small ash and I thought I'd use the trunk as a support..a stem grew over to this tree..I decided it wasn't that pretty so we removed the dead tree and the original climbing hydrangea went too..it didn't bloom either..I took a better look at the seedling..I think it's an Amur maple..the leaves are similar to an Amur maple that I have in front..

Very nice fall tour nicholsworth...... love the maple colors!! I can commiserate with you about winter.....spring doesn’t feel like it arrives in Milwaukee until June..... and then it’s almost summer....... lol

Lovely. You have a nice sized property with an almost endless array of choices for your garden. You don't need to go out into the country. You just have to step outside! I'm envious!

Nice pix, thanks. As for climbing hydrangea, they can take a looong time to bloom. My brother gave me a four footer 25 years ago and it took 5-7 years before it bloomed. Now it is eating the north side of my house. A pic of it is embedded at the link...

newhostalady..thank you!..I do appreciate my setting..can you imagine how unpleasant this garden would be seeing the neighbors bad choices full view without my trees and plants?..I hope nothing here dies..I need every leaf that I have Lol..

tj..thank you!..I didn't know how long it could take for a climbing hydrangea to bloom until after I bought it!..but it's fine..it adds a little change from the other tree trunks..I remember that photo of your hydrangea!..I was flabbergasted when I saw it..I've never seen a pic of another one that came even close to yours..

That fall color change is just stunning. Your place is as always magic land for me.
