Sorry to hear the sad news. I have quite a few Salters in my garden, also. I am grateful

for the beauty he created. Those are all lovely but Simply Charming and Mississippi Magistrate really catch my eye.

Jeff definitely left a legacy in the beautiful daylilies he hybridized. May his family have comfort and peace in his passing.

That's sad news. His daylilies have been hit or miss with me over the years given my pot system for growing. One of my oldest backbone daylilies is from the Salters (Burning Inheritance) but I've even lost duplicates of that a time or two.........Both of the Salters produce some beautiful flowers, even if they aren't overly fond of growing for me. With the trend towards more and more UF's his fuller figured gals are a contribution I for one will miss. I wish Elizabeth and the rest of the family comfort in knowing that his name will live on in many of our gardens....................Maryl

Other Salters I grow are Pink Lemonade Party, Roman Cohort, Rosy Rhino and Lavender Reflections. Those all do well here.

I didn't know Pink Lemonade Party was a Salter. What a nice true pink color it was for me. Unfortunately, as I said before, it lasted about 3 years and then just faded away. He really produced some "lovelies" as Kay said............Maryl
