It's really hard to tell when they're babies. But by Day 23, most of everything should be up with, on average, the better-developed seedlings being the TTTF.

By color, it looks like plenty of that mix is KBG--the slightly darker green with faintly blue overtones. That deeper blue doesn't really show until the grass matures considerably, however, and the boat tips don't show except on the mature grass blades.

Even on Day 8, KBG will be in the mix. I seeded pure KBG and had sprout on Day 5. It's just that the bell curve on sprout averages later and much slower, although the early bird seeds happen around day 5, just about when the TTTF also starts. By Day 8, however, you still only have early bird KBG while the TTTF is seriously sprouting.

OK, cool. That's a good report, thanks morph. I did the 10% KBG (from Hogan - it's a mix of Award, Diva, Everest, Midnight, NuGlade, Washington, and Zinfandel) for the repairability. I'm using a PGR at the same time to give everything, but especially the KBG, a better chance against the existing grass. It's working real well - grass has hardly grown at all and is holding at about 2-2.5" for the whole time. The seedlings elsewhere are a bit taller than the existing turf actually. I'm thinking to do first mow this weekend, and do another maybe 1/2 strength spray of PGR.
