My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.

Is it feasible to remove trim from post

To change the look of my stair post-
Is it feasible to replace the newel cap, and remove the upper trim? Or would I need to install an entirely new post?
See attached photo. On the left is my stairs. On the right, design I prefer.
