Such a lovely bloom.

Such a miserable plant.

I saw the photo first and thought "Wow - it's gorgeous" and then saw your comment "Miserable plant" LOL - you always make me laugh!

I should add that it MIGHT be better if budded on strong rootstock.

We got two plants of this from Heirloom OGR's, when it was first released. Their mother plant came directly from Austin, but I have NEVER seen roses so heavily virused. (Also had root gall.) So they went into the trash.

So, then, we bought two budded plants from a U.S. nursery. But those turned out to be a pair of some shrieking orange, rabidly-rusting HTs. GONE.

We gave up, but a friend gave me these two own-root plants. I haven't seen virus (tho I assume it's there). I should learn to bud.
