IMO white is timeless and taupe not so much. I also do not think honey oak and taupe are a good combo and what are the floors next to this space I sure hope not wood. I also think heeringbone floor are best done in real wood and in very high end homes so maybe provide us with a bit more info I think herringbone in a galley kitchen is just too busy.

I am going to tell you not to do this.

My favorite neutral is taupe. My home has zero yellow undertoned neutrals, only taupe, white, and gray.

Why? Because yellow is the complement to purple and will bring out the purple tones in the taupe or make any beige tones look like old theater pancake makeup.

Pictures on the internet don't always convey things as well as I would like, but hopefully the picture below demonstrates what happens when you look at Pashima with different colors.

My gut is you will end up with pink/purple undertones that will make you want to cry.

I am going to have to agree with the other comments and urge you to re-think using this color on the cabinets. I have BM Pashmina on my kitchen walls, and absolutely love it, but feel the color would be way too limiting if used on cabinets. If BM Simply White works with your other selections, IMHO that would be a much better choice.

This is a picture of my kitchen area with no lights on, only sunlight coming in from the nearby patio doors. Check out how differently the color appears on each wall based on the lighting and shadows.

Wow - OK. So apparently there's a reason I haven't seen many pictures of cabinets painted in Pashmina!

I was thinking it would be good to be a little "daring" and go with something besides white, but that's an expensive place to pick the wrong colour and have things clash.

The floor and the counter will be staying the same. If I then do the cabinets in BM Simply White and still have the medium wood accents (table shelves etc), is there a colour people might suggest for the little bit of wall that we have at the end of the room - this is where the kitchen table is and there are windows at one end.

I'd love a blue that would complement the counters and flooring (my last kitchen was cabinets in BM simply white, a wall of pantry cabinets in BM old navy with medium-toned wood accents and medium wood floor).

I also have a lot of blue and white (blue willow) dishware/china.

Also if I've got the white cabinets and blue on the walls, any thoughts on bringing blue and white into the backsplash?

And at the very beginning of this whole thing, my first thought was to do dark blue lower and white upper cabinets. Thoughts on how that would look with the floors and counters I have?

I love to see color in the kitchen. You might consider something other than Navy. I love this color combination.

The owner listed the color as SW Cyberspace, but I think that is totally wrong.

Okay, I got a bit obsessed with finding this blue for you. Looked at all my fan decks and was dancing all around it, but I knew I had seen something like this - not a green blue or a purple blue but a true blue with just enough gray to keep it from being brash, so I pulled out my book of blue paint samples and found Devine Color Tide. Devine Color was bought out by Valspar, who was bought out by SW and discontinued, but Benjamin Moore still creates matches for the colors.

I then did a comparison to SW colors via Easy RGB

I think their new Azure Tide is even closer than the BM match to Devine Color Tide

(funny how they bought out the line and then came up with almost the exact same color and named it Azure Tide).
