It is also marked "sterling"?
That indicated it's probably after 1910...and the style looks it.

I can't find the mark either in US marks....but it's not British, nor French nor Italian, nor Danish. That leaved Canadian....and it doesn't appear to be South american...
Do a search on what countries marked their wares sterling as well as their mark.

Mark looks like an owl. May be “Weidlich, there are several variations of their owl trademark, would date to the first half of the 20th century.”
