My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.

Kitchen makeover finally done

Well it took several months of planning, researching, 2nd guessing, etc. but our kitchen makeover is finally complete. We have a few things left (i.e. backsplash, paint the white door, etc.) but the major part is done so I wanted to provide an update. When we first started, I didn't know where to begin so fortunately I found the Houzz website and forum and was able to gain valuable information to help guide me in the project. I want to thank everyone who is active and contributes to this site. We purchased our home 7 years ago so at that time we went with the builder's standard cabinets, floors, and counters. For our makeover we didn't change the footprint of the kitchen any, just updated everything. Here's some info on the materials:


Cabinets: Shiloh Cabinetry. Color = Eggshell (mains) and Cocoa (Island), Style = Beaded Inset , Door =Charleston

Floors: Engineered hardwood. Brand = Johnson Hardwood Flooring, Species = Acacia

Counters: 3cm Granite, Color = Antique White
