Does the fan help your plants overwintering?

I think so, definitely circulates the heat evenly as there is only one small register in the back of the room so it gets cold by the window. Also gives some movement to new growth which strengthens it a little.

I have avoided using a fan for the general reason that I know that mites can carry on breezes. And I always seem to get a small mite or aphid uprising at some point during winter.

I run a small fan 24/7 in my garage. It serves to pull the heat near the roof area downward toward the floor and evens out the temperature a bit. This is especially helpful on really cold days and nights.

Having very good luck with a Dyson bladeless fan this winter. They are stupidly expensive but they seem to be very gentle on the leaves. It feels more like a breeze than a traditional fan which feels more like turbulence. Ken check out this plant mister on Amazon. My citrus trees love the fine mist. In the greenhouse, I use the spray setting for knocking off aphids. You can't replicate the quality of the mist with a pump sprayer.
