Russian Le Carousel

This is the first open bloom of my newly accquired (VioletBarn, August) Le Carousel. I expected a more vibrant color (reddish purple), but it seems more dead meat red with some purple. Is it just the dead meat red shade or should I expect more with a later bloom?

according to the avsa master list, Le-Karousel is a white blossom with patches of red...looks great... frequently the color will change as the plant blooms more...ah, another time with av's where we have to be patient!!!

The blossom should be growing and growing after it opens until it will be of a decent size. The second observation - this slightly coral red with white... is changeable - depending on the season - it will be more intense or it can be pale.
