All-Clad is one of the best in the business for a reason. Their factory second sale is going on now, you may be able to score one for the price you're willing to pay....

If I can't find an All-Clad cheap enough, can anyone recommend another good one in my price range?

We have the saute pan by Made-In and it's very nice quality.

I do have the All-Clad and think it's worth the price, but I do have some OXO stainless steel cookware that's really nice too and a good alternative. I got the set as a gift, and don't know if they sell open stock or not though. Check IKEA's Sensuell and 365 lines as well.

I 2nd wiscokid on the OXO stainless sauce pan, I have 2 and they are fantastic! Not sure if they are still easy to find. I like them more than my All-Clad...in fact I found my favorite pan at an estate sale for $20 ;)

I have been very pleased with Cuisinart's lowest quality range. I am using that at a vacation house. Had very low expectations and was quite surprised at how well this line performs and cleans up.

If you have a Home Goods or TJ Max near you, they often have great deals on All-Clad and some of the better European brands.
