Hello - I've been told that it's popular to match trim to the ceiling colour.

I painted my ceiling with Ben Moore Ultra Spec 500 with NO TINT - just right out of the can.

Looks great !! - So now I'm wondering, if you just bought the same product as a semi gloss for the trim with no tint - is the base no tint White, the same White across as paint finishes ( flat, egg, semi, gloss ) ?? ... and if so, is that something that is commonly done ? or do most people opt for a cloud white, simply white, oxford white, for the trim anyway - with a no tint ceiling ?

To add - - - - what I'm asking is, does a no tint semi gloss white look nice for trim, right out of the can ? and is this a common solution, since the ceiling paint is not a stark white.

I tried a sample with outdoor trim white just to see ..... too white - too much contrast from the ceiling colour. - which led to the thougt of No Tint in the same product in a Semi Gloss ???
