Please HELP! Could this fit here?

I am re-doing my guest bedroom. It's on the small size (10x11), 1 north facing window. I have a queen bed, 2 night stands, 1 sitting bench.

I will upload pictures of the room currently, and the new furniture I will be putting in the room (along with a floor plan of where I plan to put the new furniture).

I'd like to put a TV in this room for guests - Have a 32'' TV (NOT the TV that is currently in the room seen in the pictures below) that I'd like to wall mount.

Where would you put it??

Current room:

North facing wall

WEST FACING WALL:

SOUTH FACING WALL:

EAST FACING WALL:

NEW BED: (center of west wall)

NEW BENCH (along north wall by window)

NEW NIGHTSTANDS: (on either side of the bed): on west wall, one on each side of the bed

WHERE I PLAN ON PUTTING NEW FURNITURE:

Should I mount it on the north wall just left of the window?

or try mounting it behind the main 30'' bedroom door in the corner by the closet? (I'd need probably a 25'' screen TV).

ALSO, Any suggestions/advice regarding wall mirror vs wall art? and where would you place it?

i.e. I found this mirror I really like:

    29.5'' H x 29.5'' W x 0.63'' D

Would you wall mount the TV, wall mount in the corner, or do a ceiling mount? (and again, location?!)

I'm still perplexed about a TV placement in this room - can anyone help? Thanks!

Looking at the big closet, I would use it for t v viewing and guests' clothing. Then you can get rid of the chest and choose a guest appropriate bed/bedding.

Great idea - but I have no outlets in the closet. I am getting rid of the tall dresser no matter what and already purchased a proper bed

Patricia Colwell Consulting - yes, in my original post (see above), I mentioned there will be no dressers in the room.

My question is where should I wall mount the TV? (and what size TV)?

I did post a floor plan - I sketched in where I plan to put all the furniture and it shows where doors/windows are located. Is this helpful?

That is correct - TV in the closet, you can't see the TV from the bed.

Any others with ideas regarding TV placement (since it can't be in the closet)?

If there is an outlet relatively close by and you don't run a risk of tripping over it, you can use an extension cord on a TV. Be sure it is adequately rated for the amount of power.

Maybe your guests would prefer to watch TV on an iPad or similar? Could use this or this to hold it comfortably.

No, guests would not prefer to watch on ipad or something similar.

Based on pictures of the room, would a 32' TV fit in the room, and if so, where?

If not, what about a 25'' TV wall mounted int he corner where the main door of the bedroom is located (between the main door and closet)? That was my initial idea.

    https://www.inchcalculator.com/tv-size-viewing-distance-calculator/

There are several sites on the internet that can help you calculate the best TV size, depending on the type of TV, how far away you sit, and the viewing angle. It looks like your guests would be about 10 feet from the TV screen if you put it in the corner, so even a 32" screen would be smaller than what is recommended.

If you put the TV on a wall-mounted articulating arm you could put it on either the north or south wall and they can angle it towards them.

Husband was thinking of putting the 32“ wall mount on the north wall (basically just next to the window). That wouldn’t be too close to the queen bed (centered on the west wall)?

I put your TV size and what I estimated as your viewing distance into the calculator I linked to before. It looks as if you will be OK (not too close) if you have a HD TV. Otherwise it will be too close and you will be able to see the pixels. So I would check the specifications of your TV and also accurately measure the distance from the viewer to the screen, to check.

I have a 2008 SONY KDL-32L-4000 flat screen TV. I looked up and it says the pixel resolution is "1366 x 768." Is this considered 4K?

Thank you so much for that website - very useful.

The internet tells me that 1366 X 768 "means that the TV has 768 rows of pixels. Each row has 1366 pixels. This is typically referred to as a 720p HDTV." Plugging 32" TV and 720p into the website, it says that the recommended viewing distance is 6.3 ft - 12.1 ft. Any closer than 6.3 ft and you will be able to see the pixels. So just eyeballing the drawing of how you're planning to use your room, I think the distance should be fine.
