Can you post some photos of rooms you like or the room you are thinking of transforming?

these are three that appeal to me the most. I don't have any photos of the room now but it's getting completely changed so it doesn't matter. I'm just interested in styles that have worked for others.

I wanted a more modern look for most of my home and boho in my bedroom. With the help of some people here, I was able to transform my space. I wanted the bedroom to make me feel as if I were entering a different world. It is better than it was when I started but there are things I am still not satisfied with.

What I dislike:

1. Boho is a lot more cluttered than what I have going on in the rest of my home, at least my version of boho is.
2. It is an easy excuse to stash items that just don't go anywhere else, which is why I have problem #1.
3. I think it takes a lot of skill to make boho look effortless. Even down to placing the throw on the bed. It just does not look as fantastic in my room as it does in my inspiration photos. This is my biggest dislike. I am just not skilled enough to pull it off I don't think.
4. I read many articles about what elements are needed for a boho space. Layered rugs, plants, etc. I think a problem in my home is that my bedroom is too small for all of those elements.
5. When I started the process, I Googled "boho chic". Those were my keywords. My room is more boho than chic. Or maybe its not even boho???? I wanted both but don't have a good grasp on either.

There are elements that I love about the space.

I styled a bookcase that I love and it didn't cost me a dime. My fireplace looks a ton better, though still needs work. I kind of like the bedding. Love my chandelier.

I think boho looks best when you have items that are accumulated over time that mix well together. It would be much more difficult to go shopping and come home with a fabulous boho room. It is the type of space that evolves over time because unique items are key. IMO you rarely find a fabulous boho room with furnishings that were purchased from a big box store. The items that make it sing are one of a kind and that requires time for a treasure hunt. It also requires the ability to spot those items when you are looking dead at them.

i like the patterns and colors and texture of boho but the clean lines and simplicity of modern style. I also have a tendency of getting way too into color and ending up too busy so my inclination is to go minimalist and let it organically become more boho then I get carried away haha
