Is this the spot you want to retrieve wine glasses from , what was the plan for the builtins before you built them? I actully am not a lover of anything that takes up space wothout a plan for how it will be used.

Are the interior shelves adjustable? Personally, I love to see staggered shelves versus all the same

Also - the fish might be too large for the space that is currently in. It’s a cool piece but is too crowded up there

Looks like there is a lot of glass on your shelves. Consider a color or wallpaper on the back wall of your shelving unit. Some people use a false back that can be changed out to add color.

@Patricia, Thank you for your comment. These are not items I would use often. My wine glasses that I use are in a different spot in the kitchen. When redoing our kitchen we did not use any open shelving so I had this added to the breakfast area which is off the kitchen. I planned to use it for more decorative items.

I liked the fact that the fish is a more natural material - do you have any items that are either wood or wicker to break up all the glass? Or maybe more pottery? I’d also like to see some Round shapes

Maybe a few books on their side. it can also be attractive if you group like items together, say white pottery or red glass.

I agree with the staggering of shelves (in a deliberate, balanced way) and also feel it needs to feel more organized and consistent to be more pleasing to the eye. I would consider putting all the clear glassware in the center cabinet, then having other, more decorative items in the side cabinets. The decorative items will work better if there is something that connects them (collections of similar items, or of items in a similar color or material). Scale matters, too.

I think you need more variation, heavy/light and heights. It‘s going to take a lot of experimenting and combine, platters, wooden bowls, vases, etc
