For those who know their venting and air circulation physics, etc...

I hired a company to paint the kitchen with Milesi polyurethane paint. Pretty strong smell. They sealed off the kitchen so it's completely enclosed. They attached an air filter with hose (circled) that goes directly out the back of the townhouse's patio door. I thought there was no air to replace the air that is being blown out through the hose, so I opened the laundry/kitchen door (barely visible through the plastic in the picture) that goes to the garage. I left the garage door open. I'm hoping the air goes through the garage through the laundry/kitchen and then replaces the air that's being removed through the hose. Ah, am I right here? Was that needed? Any other tips?
