Rose Recommendations for Picket Fence?

We're in the process of redesigning our front yard garden. I was inspired by the well-known photograph you can find online while googling "pink roses picket fence". I've tried to find which rose that is - some say Heritage, but that appears a bit lighter in photographs than the image I found. Do you know?

Either way, our new vinyl picket fence is 3 feet tall with a large arch. Our landscape designer thought that pink and white roses along the fence would look nice along with the cottage design we've settled upon with plants in pink, white, purple, and with splashes of yellow (because I HAVE to have daffodils!). I'm planning for as many edibles as I can squeeze in - low chill apples, plums, herbs, etc.

I thought that perhaps the arch would be nice with an Eden Climber since it combines pink and white as it opens. I've been looking for roses to go with it and would love your opinions on which pink roses and white roses would go nicely with the Pink Eden, provide a bit of that short climber look that is seen in that photo, and are repeat bloomers, and provide a bit of a fragrance as well. I LOVE that double rose look.

I always thought our zone is 10, but Houzz says 9 - Orange County, CA a few miles from the coast.

Oh, and I've been trying to change my user name but for some reason, it won't let me. Any tips on that would be appreciated as well. :D

I remember the photo you are talking about. The great health of Olivia Rose Austin might be nice for the fence and how about Florence Bower's Pink Tea for the climber over the arch? Photos on HMF roses.

I recommend Boscobel on the picket fence with a neighboring Golden Celebration draping over the arch. Boscobel grows fast and starts blooming fast. Golden C takes a little longer, but both are continuous bloomers for me. Diane

I have Cinderella Fairytale Roses behind my white picket fence and Apple Blossom Carpet Roses lining the driveway.

(I actually love how it changes throughout the garden season. Colourful spring bulbs hold me over until the roses bloom and then big white Annabelle Hydrangeas take center stage when the roses are finished.)

Fabulous these would all be fabulous Tammy I don't know if I realized you had Cinderella on your fence I just planted some this year and cannot wait to see them next year. A question for the OP, is this a walkway people will be able to access? Are thorns an issue? I have a metal fence and that was an issue for me so I planted Cornelia and Felicia and Nahema. I'm not sure how thornless they'll be in the long run but they're not too bad for the moment. I also planted climbing Clotilde Soupert .

Thank you so much everyone for your input thus far. I will explore and may have more questions.

Vaporvac Z6-OhioRiverValley - The roses will be on the inside of the picket fence and the fence is set back about 2 feet from the sidewalk, with space for some low growing plants between the fence and the sidewalk. On the other side of the roses is some space for more plants and a strip of grass beyond that with another planting area on the other side of the grass. Unless people on the sidewalk decide to reach up and touch the roses, I don't think thorns will be a problem but a less thorny rose would be perfectly fine, too.

I think the main thing is for the right rose to be visible over and through the fence without overtaking the fence like a climber would.
