@User I was going to talk to the countertop guy when he comes out to see if the columns on each side of the island are sufficient to support the span, or if I'd also need a bracket in the center, too.

While I like the Trilium counter on its own, it's a very industrial look, and it seems like a very different aesthetic than your backsplash and what you have going on so far. What is your perimeter counter?

@cawaps That's true, it is quite different, and that's why I'm so conflicted! The perimeter countertop is Quartz Pietra. I was thinking that with the black stainless steel appliances and hardware, and black sink, that the more industrial countertop might be able to fit in, but you're right - it doesn't match the backspash aesthetic at all.

Sometimes you have to let go of some of what you like in order for everything to work together. If you tried to mix every kitchen element that I like in one room it would be a chaotic disaster. So I'm going to recommend passing on the Trilium, and choosing something that plays better with the backsplash.

how on earth do you think these two will work together? they are polar opposites.

the black sink w/this is fine, however, a complete disconnect from your other design elements. I would have picked a solid gray or brown for the perimeter, and diff color tiles if you want this on the island.

is it the lighting that makes the lower part of the splash appear green? look into switching up your bulbs to a nice daylight temp. I actually thought they were green.
