Which kitchen sink? TopZero or a Create Good Sinks?

I am replacing my granite counter tops with quartz and will be buying a new single bowl stainless sink. I want to take my sink up a notch from the average stainless sink. The rest of my all white 12 year old kitchen will stay as is, which is fine. The TopZero is pricey as well as the additional cost of an experienced installer. It's claim to fame is its seamless edge. There are not a lot of reviews available from actual owners. Some reference the difficulty of a getting a proper installation.

The Create Good Sinks is a little less expensive and its claim to fame is its seamless drain. It is highly regarded by the Houzz reviews and has received several Houzz awards. It has many attachments available of which my main interest would be a drain board. Anybody have experience with either of these sinks ?

No knowledge about either of these, but always check the thickness of the steel.

I’ve posted several times about our satisfaction with our creategoodsinks experience earlier this year. I swear I have no affiliation with the company. We wanted a high quality 16 gauge stainless steel ledge sink with accessories, not necessarily a professional sink, but high quality at a reasonable price. I had no prior knowledge of this company, just went by reviews I could find here or elsewhere on line. We been extremely satisfied with the quality and build of this sink and would highly recommend.

Glad to hear that. I know all stainless sinks scratch but how is your sink doing on that end?

I've retrofitted several TopZeros and am friends with the inventor who lives across the state from me. Quality wise, the sinks are second to none.

Sherry W, so far the stainless has been fine. We do have a grid on the bottom of our sink. It’s only been in use since June but I haven’t noticed any undue wear or scratches.

Which kitchen faucet would you recommend with the CGS workstation?

@Babsborkenheim which sink depth did you go with? I see they have an 8 or 10 inch options. Thanks

    We purchased the 10" depth

@babsborkenheim, I'm not sure you'll see this as the original post is several months old but... what is the width of your sink? Thanks!

We're retrofitting a TZ Barcelona on Friday, August 13th. I'll keep you posted.

@Bob W have you found any issue with the protective feet of the sink grate/grid leaving a mark on the stainless? I read in some reviews that the drain is narrow so water/food drain slowly. Have you had any issues? anything you dont like about it?

I have installed these sinks in my new homes, and I love the way they look and have had no complaints from my buyers

Sink started cracking at the edge. Top zero came out to repair, tech refused to finish saying these cannot be installed in Corian and claimed it was incorrectly installed and that it was too soft, & the counter was too thin. he refused to touch it after starting one corner for fear of damaging out counters. We hoped he resolved the issue by putting in supports under the sink to help with vibration from the disposal. He claimed the disposal was causing it to come loose but they never gave us a real concrete straight answer as to why this was coming apart from the countertop.

Now sink is worse (see photos), it’s completely coming apart from the countertop around the perimeter of the entire sink. We asked for the owner Yavuz to meet with our countertop company at the same time to resolve for a permanent fix. It’s been weeks and will only send a tech again and wants to CHARGE US????.

I regret this costly decision as this is not what was sold to us. If this was incorrectly installed all they need to do is let us know while the countertop company is there. But because they are refusing to work with us and come out to see this mess, we can only assume it’s because they know these sinks do this as other reviews show the same issue.

By them not willing to even see this (they are miles within our home), they leave us in a situation where the countop people feel they installed it correctly. It’s a game of finger pointing and someone will be responsible for a new sink and new countertops if that’s the permanent solution.

    Oh

and they scratch terribly easy too. The part that is exposed you liter can push wirh your finger, thin thin thin.

Where did you purchase your topZero sink, and what is the stainless gauge? We are currently planning on putting in a topZero sink.

    Nancy:

You'll want to buy your TZ from a reputable fabricator who has successfully installed them without callbacks.

They are 16 gauge sinks and some of the finest on the market.

We love our Create Good Sinks. It is 16 gauge and drains well. We got a ledge sink and although we only use two accessories, we use them all the time. It came in a hard to find size that fits perfectly where we needed it. And customer service is excellent.

Very disappointed "create good sinks" customer. Purchased a $1,575 sink on 12/2/24 for our vacation home. Just had the opportunity to use it for the first time after new years day breakfast. These photos are of my "good sink" after cleaning up breakfast. My review isn't on their website. Wondering why their website only has 5* reviews for the sink I purchased. Please note there are actually more scratches. It's hard to capture each one with the camera.
Tip: don't ignore the scratch warning reviews like I did.

    BUYER BEWARE!

And now we have Sue's 5th thread complaining about CGS when in fact it's her unrealistic expectations for the performance of stainless steel sinks which is the problem. Wonder if she'll go for 6?
