Who are you ordering from? I have never had issues with Kohler. They use a PVD process for their faucet coatings. There is no paint involved. So I’m curious about what it is you mean when you say that there are issues with paint. Do you have any pictures?

I’ve had 5 faucets like this. I’ve ordered from Kohler. Com and I’ve also ordered from Build.com. Both came this way

5 faucets in and all w/ damage. Surmise that the finish is easily damaged. Big cue to go a new direction. Different finish; different mfg.

Sorry, hate Kohler. Lots of style lacking quality of late. Try Delta or Moen, Brizo.... . Go to a good plumbing supply.

I have to agree with both comments and go get them in person so you can see what ypu are getting . BTW IMO ORB is a dated finish anyway.

It’s actually Matte Black finish. Not ORB. But I will be looking elsewhere

Jan- I actually have all Brizo faucets in my kitchen and wet bar.

Matte black is availabe in many brands. We have no clue what the rest of your faucet looks like. .....so we can't advise.
