Probably not, it smells like rotten eggs -- IME the stinkier, more rotten-smelling something is the more dogs like it (and want to roll in it...). You'd be better off getting a repellent specifically for dogs.

Liquid Fence makes a range of repellent products, including one that specifically targets cats and dogs. Different ingredients than the one intended for deer and rabbits. The one for house pets is made from strong smelling plant oils - garlic oil, cinnamon oil, citronella, etc.

As the product is intended to keep pets from eliminating in specific areas, I have no idea of its effectiveness with respect to keep puppies from chewing. Chewing is a natural puppy behavior but they quickly outgrow it with training. I would probably opt for a repellent spray that tastes nasty in the interim - bitter apple or capsicum.

He grew all his adult teeth so I think his teething stage is over. I'm afraid he is just one of those dogs that chew on any plant he comes across. Can you apply deer liquid fence and dog liquid fence simultaneously and still repel both animals?

Liquid Fence, although really good for hostas, is like salad dressing to my dachshunds. Keep your pup in the house at least until the Liquid Fence is dry on the leaves. Outside, I’d be surprised if you couldn’t distract him with tennis balls and squeaky toys.

time to get him and his owner to a trainer.. rather than rely on sprays ...

teach him the word NO ... and be done with it ..

i used to walk my orally fixated golden on a leash around the yard to teach him bed boundaries .. while repeating the word NO ...

as to chewing ... i sprayed a bit of bitter apple on his tongue .... and when he went up to sniff a plant .. and got an evil look in his eye.. i spritzed the plant with the bitter apple ...

it did not take long to train him to stay out of the beds.. and not grab plants ...

and he really enjoyed.. when i cleaned out beds.. various sticks harvested.. were thrown out into the lawn.. and he had his prey ..

and btw ... i tried the bitter apple on myself ..lol .... and i didnt go around the yard biting plants either ... lol ..

seriously.. train the dog ... and yourself.. and you will have a lifetime of friendship .. its worth the money.. if you dont know how to do it yourself ....
