I've cleaned some of my seed but I won't start planting for a couple of weeks. I have, in past years, started them in paper towels but I think I might direct sow some this year - I have fewer seeds.

I get a lot of seedlings in the garden since I quit cutting off scapes. Most seedlings are not worth keeping but I have had a few semi worthy blue and gold. The only seed I gathered and will clean is from Powder Keg. I had hopes for Kaleidochrome this year but we had brutal heat and drought and the pods never developed.

I started out as a fun hobby. But year after year it kept sucking me in deeper and deeper. now I’m hopeless addicted. Christmas comes around twice a year, spring when the 2-3 year olds show me what they are going to do. And winter when they sprout and grow hinting at their possibilities.
