Look at vinyl tile look or sheet vinyl . I like Mannington and coretech . I have vinyl plank with 3 huge dogs but I would not suggest anything that looks like wood next to real wood.

Sheet vinyl. Marmoleum makes a product similar to old fashioned linoleum, but it is not as easy care as sheet vinyl and costs a lot more.

For color, scoop up a couple tablespoons of some dirt outside the kitchen door, put it in a baggie, and then find something similar in color at the store.
