We need more pictures! Can you or someone take pics of the buds, blooms not yet open, last year's rose hips, a pic of the entire plant, pics of the thorns, close ups of leaves? Anything would help with an ID.

It's lovely!! The colors remind me of E. Veyrat Hermanos, but EVH is a climber. From what we can see it looks like it has the awkward growth habit of EVH.

It's lovely, what ever it is. Not something I've grown, but I'll be interested to hear what others think. Did you take cuttings?

I Feels like someone planted that. We have old roses they have simpler patterns than that. It may help if u see whose stone it's near, look in the phone book and find any of it's ancestors and ask if someone's grandma planted that. I know people over 95 who remember what they planted where. U can call High Country roses and send them that pic. If it has wild canes it may be a climber that just needs attention. Did u identify first? Search for all yellow roses matching a similar description, hit images and see if anything similar comes up. U wld be surprised what plants can do without anyone stealing their nutrients for long periods of time. Sometimes they explode. I would appreciate any further notes on this i, we have a small nursery and roses r my special delight

Unfortunately these are all the photos I have until Spring, but I will go back and take more images (as well as cuttings!) and report back!
